University quotables

I see that Ardith scooped me on President Austin's remark about computers in chapel today. I, however, win on accuracy and volume:

Maybe I'd like to learn how to fish. I'm thinking of making some resolutions on that front.

I think it's just as hard to break away from a computer as it would be from cocaine.

I said, "I'm a pilot. Can I be a flight attendant?"

Dr. Feezell, meanwhile, wins my Enlightened Professor of the Day award. In Microeconomics, he specifically endorsed the famed fifteen-minute rule: "If I'm not here in fifteen minutes, boogie." (Apparently Dr. Feezell is not aware that LeTourneau actually has a ten-minute rule -- Policy 5.2.2 of the Faculty/Staff Handbook.)

You forgot the wonderful comment about the faculty member that they "encouraged" to find a better fit somewhere else.
