A plea for reading skills
My friend Wheeler has finally launched his own firepower into evangeldom's battle over the spirituality of Harry Potter. I happen to know that this has been in the works for a long time. I like the result. Some of it (the argument for Potter as Christian allegory) may be a stretch, but it is meant after all to remind conservative Christians that nobody takes fantasy literally.

Harry Potter as Christian Allegory is hardly a stretch. I started noticing in the first book just how heavily Christian Rowling has all but admitted that she's sneaking in (er: heavy-handedly inserting) Christian material into the book. That Evangelical Christian humor magazine did a Harry Potter issue awhile ago that included a Rowling interview.
