Progress

Despite the fearsome volume of work due this week, I am pleased with my assignments.

In Organizational Behavior, Sharpton and I will be making a presentation in class tomorrow. Ordinarily, this presentation would be a monumental bore; we were told to research a modern company and use it as a case study for an org behavior concept of our choice. We, however, had a lovely idea: we asked for permission to study SHAEF, the Allied command in charge of the preparations for Operation Overlord in 1944. Our research -- blending military history and management theory -- has been highly entertaining. As I always suspected, I love many of the concepts involved in business classes, but only when I can apply them to organizations with some redeeming social value.

My other project this week is the paper over the Council of Chalcedon. I still have a lot of writing to do before Thursday evening, but I think it should go faster now that the complex background material is out of the way. This could be a very nice paper. I need a very nice paper of its length -- I have very few writing samples of more than ten pages.
